I think this is so weird/amazing... One day I went over to my boyfriend's place and in his room was a robe that caught my attention. It caught my attention because my grandmother gave the same exact robe to my brother. I asked where my boyfriend got it and he said a thrift store, and I'm pretty sure my grandmother got the same robe from when she went to Japan years ago. So, on another day I brought the matching robe to his place and we both wore them, it was so funny.

I am from a small suburban town in central Massachusetts. I was down in Venice, FL visiting my grandparents over my spring break and we went to a popular restaurant in the area called Sharky's Pier. We sat down and our waitress came over to take our order. She was very friendly and we all got into talking about where we were all vacationers from. She found out I was from Groton and my grandparents were from Chelmsford (another town in MA). She then went on to tell us how she has relatives from Groton! A random restaurant in Venice, Florida with a waitress with family members from my small hometown where my graduating class at a regional high school was only 200 kids! At that same lunch there was a family sitting just a couple tables over from Chelmsford, where my grandparents are from, who lived just down the street. What a small world!

I'd like to preface this by saying this could be the funniest and most important "coincidink" of all time.
It happened about two years ago during my freshman orientation for UMass. Keep in mind my main goal at orientation was to find a sweet roommate. That's when I met Danny Abrahams from Massachusetts. So me and Danny got to talking and eventually he asks me, "Do you know anybody from your high school who's coming to UMass?"
Being from New York, I only knew one person. I replied, "I do. I know one girl but she is the filthiest, most disgusting person I've ever met. She's huge, hairy and smells like ass every single day."
Danny laughed and said, "Wow that's weird. I know someone from my summer camp in Mass. who's probably ten times worse than whoever you're describing. You don't understand this girl is the nastiest of the nasty."
After arguing for the next five minutes about which girl was more hideous, Danny asked me, "What's her name?"
I said, (name changed for private purposes) "Gertude."
"Mueller??!", Danny said.
In a crazy twist, we were talking about the same person who we knew from a great distance apart.
We proceeded to laugh for the next 20 minutes. We've been roommates ever since.
Thank you Gertrude.

My wife an I were in Chicago for a getaway weekend. While we were walking south on Michigan Avenue I noticed one of those honorable street signs and this one says Paul Harvey Way. At which point I said to my wife, look Paul Harvey and she says where? As I start to explain I was talking about the sign, I look below, who is standing there ready to cross the street? Paul Harvey.

Good Day!

Met my husband because of fate-driven coincidence!

My senior year at Brookfield High School (CT) my girlfriends decided to take a tip to Cancun. A trip in which I didn't go. While they were there, my friends met a bunch of Army guys and hung out with them the whole time.

A year and a half later this same group of girlfriends decided to take another trip. This trip would be to Myrtle Beach, SC and this time I was not going to miss it! On our long drive from Connecticut to Myrtle we passed a sign on the highway that read "Fayetteville." My friends were screaming that the guys they met in Cancun were from there and that they should call them to meet us in Myrtle. That they did and the guys met us there the next day.

Four guys walked in the door that evening and right away I could not keep my eyes off one of them- Ben. Ben, like me was not on the Cancun trip with the everyone else. We clicked right away and have been together since.

Now, five years later, after a cross country long distance relationship (for four years) and 3 deployments (to Iraq, the Philippines and Afghanistan)....I am happily married to my soulmate.

Who would have ever thought that my crazy 18 year old girlfriends on spring break would lead me to the man I would later marry? Life Changing Coincidence...I think so :)

The summer after my senior year of high school I started dating one of my best female friends. It was working out relatively well, but it was clear that I had much stronger feelings for her than she did for me. She broke up with me after a month or so, saying that she didn't want to have a boyfriend when she left for college because it would hurt too much to leave me behind. I was upset, but agreed to revert back to being just friends.

Not more than three days later, I found out that she was dating another guy, who I had previously been suspicious of while we were dating. I called her and said some things (some of which I regret) that most assuredly ended our friendship for good.

After having lost both a girlfriend and a best friend in one fell swoop, I left for college at the end of the summer depressed and rueful. I spent the semester wishing I had done things differently and regretting the decisions I had made in the previous months.

By winter break, I was ready to come home. On New Years Eve, I went with my friend Andrew to a huge party in LA, and I met a girl there. We danced, joked, and laughed together pretty much the whole night. As fate would have it, this girl happened to be the ex of the guy that my ex left me for in the beginning of the summer. We connected right away, and after a few weeks we started dating.

It's been one year and fifteen days since New Years Eve when I met my girlfriend, and we are still dating (and I heard through the grapevine that my ex and my girlfriend's ex had broken up because she cheated on him. Glad I got out of that one early!) We even go to the same school together now, and we have plans to move in together at the end of this school semester. I love her more and more every day, and she loves me too.

This was without a doubt the greatest, most life changing coincidence of my life. Thank you coincidink.com for giving me a venue to share my story!
