Naples, FL
I was in Naples Fl on vacation in November 2011 sitting in a Dunkin Donuts when I met a couple from Finland and started a conversation with them. I mentioned to them that a couple of years ago my son was on a travel hockey team, living and attending high school in Los Angeles. He was living with another family and 1 of his roomates & team mates was from Finland.

As soon as I mentioned that they said they new exactly who the Finnish boy was and sure enough it was the same boy "Ville". What a small world!

So I had the all time craziest coincidence today. When I was getting off the bus coming back from the library at like 8pm I remembered that I may not have saved roster changes for nhl fantasy earlier in the morning. I was going to take out Dennis Wideman cuz he sucks but it didn't save so i thought to myself 'what if he were to get a hatrick tonight and I was going to sit him.' Surer than shit Dennis Wideman got his first hatrick tonight in his ninth nhl season. I don't even know what to think of that. Craaaazy

So I'm studying abroad in Hungary for a year. Yeah, random, EXCEPT that my father was born here and when he was five, his dad and aunt escaped during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution in the middle of the night on foot to Austria. After a while in London, they moved to San Diego. My father or grandfather rarely talk about the Revolution or the sudden death of my grandma a few months before they left. I have never been to Hungary and have only met two or three family members from here.
So I arrived at the beginning of September and met a guy from Michigan that had been here all summer and a bunch of Hungarian friends. He introduced me to his friend, Daniel, one night and then Daniel and I became Facebook friends. About six weeks ago, my aunt that lives here messaged me and said, "Hey, did you know Daniel's grandma is your grandma's cousin?? You guys are third cousins!" So I creepily asked him for his grandma's name and it turns out my aunt was right! So when I went to the countryside to visit my grandma's family, I was visiting his grandma! CRAZY RIGHT?!
Wellll.... it doesn't end there. Daniel and I hung out for the first time last Friday. THEN on Saturday, my study abroad program went to the House of Terror and there he was!!! He was with his friend, who just happened to be our program's tour guide, and Daniel's friend was in charge of taking the kids coming from the same study abroad program in Krakow back to Krakow because he was a last resort go-to. SO, Daniel, my cousin, went to Krakow with my friends and tour guide's son, his friend. Coincidink(s)? I think so.

I was watching the LPGA Canadian Open golf tournament in San Diego on the Golf Channel broadcast from Mirabel, Quebec. I saw a young boy on his dad's shoulders get an autograph from Paula Creamer at the 18th green and thought he looked liked my bother's son. I texted my bro "did Greg just get his Canadiens hat autographed by Paula Creamer?". The response was "he sure did". I rewound the broadcast to that point and took several still photos of my TV to send to my brother. WHAT A COINCIDINK!

OK SO I have a friend from college named Bill, and he is from Basking Ridge, New Jersey. I also have a friend from home (a best friend) named Elise, and we are from Andover, Massachusetts. In a random coincidink, Bill's best friend from home (Keith) goes to the same college as Elise in Virginia. And in a life-changing coincidink, Keith and Elise met at a party, and are now dating! WHAT A COINCIDINK!

On the first day of freshman year introducing myself to my nextdoor neighbor, Sammy, we realized that miles away from Amherst our houses are only 15 minutes away from each other in New Jersey. Our next coincidence was she started talking about a party in Mahwah where Glen Rock kids brought a keg, being from Glen Rock I realized that I just so happen to be at the same one. We met in passing but never talked because we were the "other girls" at their hometown party. To this day, we are best friends

Easton, PA
I was born in Easton, Pa in 1955. That year, our Temple ordained a new Rabbi . Rabbi Alexlander Finesilver's first Shabbot night service was also my baby naming service. Over the years, he and I had become close and we both shared a very warm spot in each others' heart. I had moved away to go to college in 1973 and 1978, Rabbi Feinsilver retired.

I became engaged to a man from Long Island New York. Unknown to him, I had always dreamed of getting married by Rabbi Feinsilver in my hometown of Easton. My husband was not pleased with the idea of getting married in Easton. But before we could make any definite plans, we had to go to Easton and ask Rabbi Feinsilver if he would come out of retirement to marry us. He was extactic of course to have this opportunity, but advised that we had to first get the permission of the new Rabbi of the temple, Rabbi Barbrow, to allow Rabbi Feinsilver to perform the service.

During our meeting with Rabbi Barbrow, he asked my husband where he was from. When my husband told him that he was from East Meadow, New York, Rabbi asked him if he was any relation to a woman named Ellyn. Why yes, my husband replied, Ellyn is my sister!" The rabbi laughed and said, "I married your sister to her husband years ago in New York!" With that coincidink - he gave us his blessings to have rabbi Feinsilver marry us. Rabbi Barbrow also attended our wedding and visited with Ellyn and her husband Dave who he had not seen for many years.

OK - so this story has TWO coincidinks - We just moved into our new home in San Diego. Our next door neighbor invitied us over for a BBQ and introduced us to his best friend, Roman that he grew up with from Detroit. Roman and his family own a restaurant in Oakhurst, CA near Yosemite and come down to San Diego to visit several times a year. Over the past 15 years, we have spent many evenings with Roman and his family when he comes to vist our neighbor.

In January this year, my Aunt from became very ill and my Uncle was unable to care for her and needed to moved into a nursing home. Their kids decided to move them to a little town outside of Yosemite where my cousin lived. He had built a two-story home where he lived upstairs and my uncle could live downstairs which was just like an apartment. The nursing home was just 4 miles away. When I realized that the town they were moving to was Oakhurst,(first coincidink) my husband and I decided to purchase a gift certificate from the restaurant that my neighbor's friend, Roman owned. My husband phoned Roman make him aware that our relatives just moved to Oakhurst and we wanted to purchase a gift certificate for them to have dinner at his restaurant. When they received the gift, my cousin phoned to let us know that when he first moved to Oakurst- he worked for Roman at the restaurant. What a small world!! Two coicidink story!

Mammoth, CA
My husband and I were having our anniversary dinner at Roget's while on a ski vacation in Mammoth Mountain Ca. We were seated at a beautiful table near the window and were reviewing the wine list. The sommelier (wine server) came over to us to take our order and my husband looked up and said, "Fitz, it that you?" Sure enough, Fitz and my husband went to college together 20 years prior in Vermont. He and Fitz and Greg were all friends at UVM. Fitz and Greg had become ski instructors at Mammoth Mountain. Fitz live in Mammoth year round, and Greg goes back to Vermont every summer. To this day, almost 35 years, Greg and Fitz are the top ski instructors at Mammoth. We visit them several times a year on our ski trips. Stag Leap's Petite Sirah, suggested by Fitz, remains to be our favorite wine.

My husband, son and I were on vacation in Arizona. We were on a jeep tour of the red mountains with about 6 others. I think the jeep held 8 and we sat in the very back of the jeep with our legs dangling off the back with our 3 year old son on our lap. As we were winding our way through the dessert, the tour guide, a young woman, was telling us all about the touraine, the dessert plants, dessert wildlife, and of course the history of the American Indians. Jack rabbits hopping all around us and it was a very very hot day. As I mentioned in an earlier coincidink story, my husband doesn't forget a face, voice or smell. Well during the tour he whispers to me, I think I know the tour guide. "Sure you do, I replied, what are the chances of you knowing this young woman?" As we made our way to the middle of the tour, we stopped to take a break. My husband approached the young woman and asked her where she was from. "Burlington, Vermont" she replied, my name is __________." "Ah Ah!, my husband said, I went to university with your brother!" We sat at the fron of the jeep for the rest of the tour as my husband got caught up with his old friend's sister.
